About the Company

The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) is a statutory body established under the Energy Regulation Act No. 12 of 2019 to regulate the energy sector through licensing undertakings and ensuring consumers receive quality energy products and services while promoting fair returns for energy utilities.

The ERB is inviting applications from suitably qualified and dynamic candidates for the position of Procurement and Supplies Intern at its Lusaka Office.

About the Role

The Procurement and Supplies Intern will provide operational support to the Procurement and Supplies Unit by assisting with procurement processes, records management, supplier quotations, and procurement reporting while gaining practical experience in public procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Support

  • Prepare requests for quotations (RFQs).

  • Evaluate quotations and assist in preparing low-value and Procurement Committee papers.

  • Compile data for procurement and supplies reports.

  • Maintain and file procurement and supplies records.

  • Assist with other day-to-day procurement and administrative tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.

  • A Degree in Purchasing and Supplies or a related discipline.

  • Applicants should have graduated not earlier than 1st January 2023.

  • Preference will be given to candidates who are residents of Lusaka.

Internship Duration

  • Six (6) months
