Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver safe, professional, and compassionate nursing care.

• Assess, monitor, and document patients' health conditions.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.

• Monitor patients' progress and report any significant changes.

• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.

• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management.

• Ensure infection prevention and control procedures are followed.

• Support emergency response and critical patient care when required.

• Collaborate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.

• Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional nursing ethics.

• Participate in clinical audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, healthcare regulations, and nursing standards.

• Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Registered Nursing.

• Current practicing licence from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ).

• Valid registration as a Registered Nurse.

• Crrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is an added advantage.

Experience

Applicants should have:

• Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical environment.

• Experience in patient assessment, treatment, and nursing care.

• Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.

• Experience using electronic medical records is an added advantage.
