Job Description

CALM MOUNTAIN a Zambian real estate developer and agency headquartered in Ndola, with an additional branch in Kitwe. The firm specializes in property management, valuation, and sales across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

CALM MOUNTAIN is inviting applications from motivated and detail-oriented candidates for the position of SURVEYOR.

Key Responsibilities

Field Duties

  • Assist in measuring land, buildings, and property boundaries.

  • Set out boundary markers, building lines, and construction points.

  • Conduct site inspections and record physical features.

  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment: total station, GPS, levels, tapes.

Office & Documentation

  • Prepare survey plans, maps, and drawings.

  • Record and organize field data accurately.

  • Prepare reports for land registration, approvals, and internal use.

  • Update survey records and databases.

Development & Construction Support

  • Assist in setting out buildings, roads, and infrastructure.

  • Monitor site works to ensure compliance with approved plans.

  • Report discrepancies or issues to the Surveyor.

Compliance & Coordination

Verify survey information against title deeds and layout plans.

Support applications to land registries and planning authorities.

Liaise with engineers, architects, and real estate staff.

Health, Safety & Equipment

  • Follow site safety rules and company procedures.

  • Ensure proper handling and care of surveying tools.

  • Report equipment damage or safety hazards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree / Diploma in Surveying

  • 3 years work experience.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of surveying tools and technologies.

  • Ability to take accurate measurements + attention to detail.

  • Good communication, teamwork, and analytical skills.

  • Physical ability to work outdoors for extended periods.

  • Clean and Valid Driver’s Licence.

  • Must have own accommodation in Ndola or willing to relocate at own cost.

  • Membership to ZIQS is an added advantage.

  • High level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
