The company is seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmacy Technician to support its pharmaceutical operations by ensuring the safe procurement, storage, handling, and dispensing of medicines while maintaining compliance with national healthcare regulations.
The Pharmacy Technician will play a key role in supporting pharmacy operations by managing pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining product quality, and assisting in the safe dispensing of medicines. The successful candidate will help uphold high standards of patient care, medication safety, and pharmacy practice.
Oversee the procurement, receipt, storage, dispensing, and handling of medicines.
Maintain accurate inventory records for pharmaceutical products.
Ensure medicines are stored under appropriate conditions to preserve quality and effectiveness.
Assist in the safe dispensing of medications in accordance with professional standards.
Conduct routine quality assurance checks on pharmaceutical products.
Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely removal of expired or damaged medicines.
Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Zambia Medicines Regulatory Authority (ZMRA), Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA), and the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
Maintain accurate documentation and records required for regulatory compliance.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages.
Support stock reconciliation and inventory audits.
Ensure proper documentation for all stock movements.
Assist in maintaining adequate pharmaceutical supplies.
Applicants should possess:
A relevant qualification in Pharmacy Technology or a related pharmaceutical discipline.
Registration with the appropriate professional body will be an added advantage where applicable.
The ideal candidate should have:
Relevant experience in pharmacy practice or pharmaceutical operations.
Experience in medicine inventory management and regulatory compliance will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
Good knowledge of pharmaceutical products and pharmacy procedures.
