About the Role
Tada International School is inviting applications from qualified and experienced educators for the position of Primary Trained Teacher.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching primary school learners, preparing and delivering lessons, assessing academic progress, and maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Lesson Delivery
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the learning needs and abilities of primary school learners.
- Prepare appropriate teaching materials, classroom activities, and learning resources.
- Explain concepts clearly and encourage active participation during lessons.
- Apply suitable teaching methods to support learners with different learning abilities.
- Promote curiosity, creativity, independent thinking, and a love for learning.
Learner Assessment and Development
- Assess learners' academic progress through classwork, assignments, tests, and other appropriate assessment methods.
- Identify learning difficulties and provide additional guidance where necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of learners' performance and progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to help learners improve academically.
- Support learners' personal, social, and emotional development.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, orderly, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
- Establish and enforce appropriate classroom rules and routines.
- Encourage positive behaviour, mutual respect, discipline, and cooperation among learners.
- Promote learners' confidence, participation, and responsibility.
Professional Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding learners' progress and development.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school management to support educational objectives.
- Participate in school activities and professional development initiatives as required.
- Uphold the school's values of excellence, integrity, and lifelong learning.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess the following:
- A Diploma or Degree in Primary Education.
- A valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) practising licence.
- At least two years of teaching experience in a primary school setting.
- A genuine passion for teaching and working with children.
- Patience and the ability to support learners with different needs and abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
Technical Skills
- Lesson planning and curriculum delivery.
- Classroom assessment and learner progress monitoring.
- Preparation of teaching and learning materials.
- Classroom organisation and behaviour management.
- Identification of learners' academic needs.
- Effective communication with parents, learners, and colleagues.
Leadership & Behavioural Skills
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for teaching.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Work Environment
The successful candidate will work in a primary school environment at Tada International School in Chamba Valley, Lusaka. The role requires regular interaction with learners, fellow teachers, parents, and school management.
The teacher is expected to maintain professional standards, encourage positive learning experiences, and contribute to a school culture focused on academic excellence and learners' development.
