Raw Material Intake & Inventory Control Interns (x4) -Kamimbi Aqua Feed

About the Role

Kamimbi Aqua Feed is seeking four (4) Raw Material Intake & Inventory Control Interns to support the accurate monitoring, weighing, recording, and reporting of raw materials transferred from the Raw Material Warehouse to the Intake Pit.

The role is critical to strengthening inventory accuracy, material traceability, stock reconciliation, production accountability, and control of raw material losses.

The successful interns will ensure that every raw material entering the intake system is physically verified, accurately weighed, and properly recorded before intake.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor all raw materials transferred from the Raw Material Warehouse to the Intake Pit.

  • Verify each raw material before it enters the intake system.

  • Weigh raw materials individually according to approved procedures.

  • Record every individual material movement accurately.

  • Ensure no raw material enters the intake system without being properly recorded.

  • Verify material identification, including product name, batch/lot/where applicable, and quantity.

  • Confirm that the physical material corresponds with the accompanying documentation.

  • Record all material movements in the approved intake recording system/register.

  • Immediately report discrepancies between physical quantities and documentation.

  • Prevent duplicate entries, omissions, incorrect quantities, and incorrect material identification.

  • Support accurate daily, weekly, and monthly stock reconciliation.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 Certificate – mandatory.

  • A Diploma or Certificate in any of the following fields will be an advantage:

    • Stores Management

    • Inventory Management

    • Procurement & Supply Chain Management

    • Accounting

    • Business Administration

    • Data Management

    • Statistics

    • Or a related field.

The ideal candidates should demonstrate:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong integrity and accountability.

  • Good record-keeping and reporting skills.

  • Ability to follow established procedures.

  • Good numerical and analytical skills.

  • Ability to identify and report discrepancies.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to work in a production and warehouse environment.
