The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overseeing all quantity surveying and commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will ensure accurate cost estimation, contract administration, procurement support, financial reporting, and cost control while maximizing project profitability and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and company procedures.
Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets and cost plans.
Develop accurate cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documentation.
Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or delivery.
Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial projections.
Monitor project profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
Administer construction contracts in accordance with contractual requirements.
Prepare interim valuations and payment certificates.
Evaluate subcontractor applications for payment.
Manage contract variations, claims, extensions of time, and final accounts.
Resolve commercial disputes and contractual issues where necessary.
Ensure compliance with contractual terms and company policies.
Carry out accurate quantity take-offs and measurements.
Verify completed work on-site for payment purposes.
Prepare valuations for completed works.
Maintain accurate measurement records and project documentation.
Ensure project quantities are properly recorded and updated.
Support procurement planning and tender evaluation processes.
Prepare subcontract documentation and negotiate commercial terms.
Monitor subcontractor performance against budgets and contractual obligations.
Review supplier quotations and recommend contract awards.

Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable legislation.
Maintain accurate commercial documentation and project records.
Participate in audits and quality assurance activities.
Promote safe working practices in line with company Health & Safety policies.
Identify commercial risks and implement effective control measures.
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Professional registration with a recognized Quantity Surveying body will be an added advantage.
The ideal candidate should have:
Minimum of 8–10 years of quantity surveying experience within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or mining projects.
Proven experience administering large construction contracts.
Experience managing subcontractors and commercial teams.
Demonstrated experience handling contract claims, variations, and final accounts.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
