Stock Controller – Reload Logistics

About the Company

Hail & Cotton Zambia Limited is a leading agricultural commodities company specializing in tobacco sourcing, processing, and export. In partnership with Reload Logistics, the company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller – Reload Logistics to oversee inventory management and stock control operations at its Kabwe facility.

About the Role

The Stock Controller – Reload Logistics will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, movement, reconciliation, and traceability of tobacco stock while ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with company procedures. The successful candidate will work closely with warehouse, logistics, procurement, finance, and operations teams to maintain efficient stock management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Management & Inventory Control

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming tobacco leaf and finished products.

  • Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.

  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies, shortages, or damaged inventory.

  • Ensure all stock movements are properly authorized and accurately recorded.

  • Maintain complete traceability of tobacco stock from receipt to dispatch.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily inventory and stock reconciliation reports for management.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for all stock transactions.

  • Support internal and external inventory audits.

  • Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and company standards.

Warehouse & Operational Support

  • Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, logistics, finance, quality assurance, and operations teams.

  • Monitor stock condition, packaging integrity, moisture levels, contamination risks, and warehouse housekeeping.

  • Promote proper storage practices to preserve product quality.

  • Assist in improving inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate with credits or better.

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration, Accounting, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, or a related field.

  • Professional membership or relevant certification will be an added advantage.

Experience

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in tobacco stock control, inventory management, and warehouse operations.

  • Experience using Inventory Management Systems, ERP, or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Required Skills and Competencies

The successful candidate should demonstrate:

  • Strong inventory control and warehouse management skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability.

  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and under pressure.
