Graduate Programme (GP) Participant Job in Kalumbila – First Quantum Minerals.

About the Graduate Programme

The First Quantum Graduate Programme is designed to bridge the gap between university education and professional employment. Successful candidates will rotate through structured on-the-job training programmes, gaining valuable experience across different departments while working on operational and strategic projects.

Participants will receive mentorship from experienced professionals, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and develop the practical skills required to succeed in Zambia's mining industry.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

Graduate Development

- Participate in structured on-the-job training programmes across assigned departments.

- Follow an approved graduate development plan designed to build technical and professional competencies.

- Attend mentorship sessions, workshops, and continuous learning programmes.

Operational Support

Responsibilities include:

- Support departmental operations and daily business activities.

- Assist with research, data collection, analysis, and reporting.

- Participate in projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and business performance.

- Work with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical and operational challenges.

Safety and Compliance

The successful candidate will:

- Comply with all company health, safety, and environmental policies.

- Promote safe work practices at all times.

- Ensure assigned tasks are completed in accordance with company procedures and operational standards.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives that promote workplace safety.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

The role also involves:

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields:

- Mining Engineering

- Geoscience-related disciplines

- Geometallurgy

- Industrial Engineering

Experience

- No prior work experience is required.

- Internship experience, industrial attachment, or practical experience within mining or related industries will be an added advantage.
